How this site is built

For the people who view source. You know who you are.

Stack

Host
Hostinger, LiteSpeed cache in front, Hostinger CDN in front of that.
CMS
WordPress with the Astra theme, which is then told to sit down: every page suppresses the theme chrome and draws its own.
Pages
Each page is one hand-written HTML block with its own stylesheet inline. No page builder. Edits go in over the REST API.
SEO
Rank Math for titles, descriptions, and the 404 routing.
Scripts
Plain JavaScript, no frameworks. The checklist, bingo, and quest pages keep their state in your browser only.

Type and color

Headings
Manrope 700 and 800.
Body
Inter 400 to 600, 17px, line height 1.7.
Code
Your system monospace. It was already there.
Palette
Dark navy, gold accent, a blue for links, a red for the one thing that needs it.

Rules

  • No em-dashes anywhere on the site. Periods, commas, and colons do the work.
  • No ads, no marketing pixels. The only third-party asset I add is Google Fonts.
  • Every number on the site is on my resume too, and I will defend it in an interview.
  • Mobile layout has to survive at 360px wide before anything ships.
  • Motion respects prefers-reduced-motion.

History

  • Version 1: a basic hacker-themed page.
  • Version 2: a gold Matrix-rain look borrowed from the Hack@UCF aesthetic.
  • Version 3: a green-on-black terminal, complete with a fake shell on the 404 page.
  • Version 4, September 2026: this. Navy and gold, plain headings, a real photo. Built for the person reading it on a phone between meetings, not for the person who already has a terminal open.

The redesign shipped in one afternoon. The old versions live on as WordPress revisions, which is the only place they belong.

Fun pages

Because the site needed at least three things that are not a resume.
